Hey there! I’m Saurabh. I’m an early-stage startup engineer and builder with a deep interest in applied machine learning, client-side WebGPU acceleration, and high-scale browser video platforms.

The Backstory & Path

I grew up in a small town in Rajasthan, raised by my single mom and elder sister. In 11th grade, I fell in love with C++ programming and decided to make software my life's craft.

After IIT-JEE prep in Kota and landing at BIT Bangalore for telecommunications, I realized traditional rote coursework was disconnected from the fast-evolving startup ecosystem. I took a leap, dropped out of engineering, and joined Signzy at the seed stage.

At Signzy, I worked directly with the founders building digital KYC engines and real-time computer vision document extraction. Later, I joined Vectorly — an MIT Sandbox startup developing client-side neural video upscaling in WASM and WebGL. Vectorly was acqui-hired by Hopin during the height of the virtual events boom.

At Hopin and StreamYard, I worked across applied ML, LLM-based smart clip detection, and WebRTC/WebCodecs broadcast infrastructure handling millions of live streams.

What I'm Building Now

  • Katana (katana.video): Hardware-accelerated browser video super-resolution running locally via WebGPU compute shaders and WebCodecs.
  • MotionVector: Programmatic creative motion tools, video generation pipelines, and web 3D engines.
  • Lookaround (lookaround.space): Navigable 3D WebGL / Gaussian splat environments running without installation in browsers.
  • Launchy (launchy.video): Automated product launch video generation.

Digital Nomad Life

I spend part of each year nomading across South East Asia — living out of Bangkok, Da Nang, Koh Phangan, and my hometown of Udaipur.
